Personally, I’m a fan of hand-writing notes. Granted, I can type faster than I can write, but how do you doodle using a keyboard? Plus, I think having a laptop open puts up a small pony wall between you and the world during meetings and such.
But just because I like the feel of paper and pen, doesn’t mean I don’t want those notes to exist somewhere else. To solve this problem, the folks at Wave have come up with a unique solution. Their pens aren’t smart, but the paper is imbued with the cues needed for their phone app to quickly recognize and de-skew pages. Once you’ve got all those notes safely stored on the cloud and your notebook is full, it can be reused. Pop the notebook in the microwave and kaboom, the notebook is erased (ink turns clear with heat).
FriXion pens are available in a variety of colors, for those of you who like to take sketchnotes.
The Rocketbook Wave provides the freedom of a traditional pen and paper notebook, while instantly blasting your notes into the cloud using your smartphone. And when you use Pilot FriXion pens with the Wave notebook, you can erase your notes using your microwave oven and reuse your notebook.
