I’m a huge fan of Disneyland and love to geek out on the minute details that Imagineering builds into their attractions. Hidden Mickeys are the long standing practice of imagineers (and sometimes cast members) designing or arranging set pieces to form a silhouette of Mickey’s ears. You’ll find them all over the park if you look closely. For example, the dials in the cab of Casey Jr’s Circus Train (Disneyland), a place setting in the Haunted Mansion’s dining room, or carved into the pavement or surrounding rock work.
This rug, by Ethan Allen, allows you to bring some hidden mickeys home and work them right into your everyday decor. The rug itself looks like bubbles, or semi-random spots, but looking closer, some of those spots have a familiar shape.
The rug is available in red, dark grey, or a beautiful aqua.
You’ll be floating on a colorful sea of bubbles with every step on this Mickey Mouse Hiya Rug. Available in a choice of colors, the 100% wool rug features a bubble design that incorporates hidden Mickey icons.
